About Us
Heart of the Caribbean Ltd. is a privately owned villa rental company located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
We have been in business since 1992 serving the General Public as well as Travel Agencies throughout the world. Although, we have traveled extensively in the Caribbean Islands, we specialize in St. Martin/Maarten, Barbados and St. Lucia. We don't do every island in the Caribbean but the ones we do, we do very well. We specialize in these islands because they are what we would call friendly islands. We encourage our clients to go out and meet the locals. The local culture is different and refreshing.
We have worked very hard to keep the properties updated on our web site and we do not represent a property that we have not seen or toured. This is a rule we follow because we have found out it is very easy to have a beautiful picture but it is not necessarily representative of property in it's present state. We are also constantly updated by our customers that have just returned from the villas and are anxious to tell us of their experience.
We have taken efforts to build a web site in a manner that is easy to navigate and easy to understand. Generally it will take two clicks to reach that property's web page which includes pictures and specifications.
We started traveling the Caribbean many years ago and stayed in the all inclusive resorts. Although it is a fun time and enjoyed our stay, our tastes have changed. We soon found we were tired of the constant drum beat and non stop activities. We also found that when traveling with a family or group of friends it can much less expensive by staying in a villa, assuming the same type of quality accommodations. Although the food in the all inclusive's was generally good, we also prefer to cook our own meals as we think they are healthier and we don't particular care for the buffet lines. The other options is going out for dinner and all three of the islands we represent have some fantastic restaurants.
Choosing a villa over a regular hotel is also a wonderful step. When we travel with our children and friends, we find we spend more quality time together when we stay in a villa. Again, it is also a big savings when you can stock your own soda, drinks and make your own coffee as opposed to going to the restaurant or bar.
